A fun little word that I've had to learn in the last week.

Guess who is going in for surgery number 13? laugh out loud
At least I think it's 13.. I kind of lost track along with body parts..but this time I get some shiny new parts added like metal cage and screws.. Whee

Anyone have experience with this? Do tell...

When I was a kid, my mom always put our dentist appointments (and other important items) on a calendar in the kitchen. I made sure not to remind her...about 1/3 of the time, she would forget. Of course, she would just reschedule, but at least I got out of it for a short time. laugh out loud

Not that this was anything like what you've had to deal with. hug

nod I don't set one now but for 28 years of driving the school bus I did.. When it goes off at 4:43 you know you didn't set it to go off any earlier than absolutely needed..and if we over slept and came in late by more than 8 minutes we would be/could be sent home and forfeited the shift's pay.

Yeah I know I am likely adding to my anxiety over it.. maybe more so than warranted.
All of my previous surgeries were organs, tissue or cutting into muscle (other than when the horse fell on me and popped my leg right out of the hip socket laugh out loud) this is the first "bone" involved surgery and I know it will take much longer to heal. Plus...none of my fam lives out here... so ...no one to whine to in person, or to act all brave and shit in front of Flex laugh out loud

Hang in there, Jane (Mable?) Keep drinking enough water to float a boat, and good luck with the thyroid meds and levels. If I were closer, I'd come over and make you some chicken noodle soup! Hrmmm, I wonder if a stainless steel thermos shipped by Fed Ex overnight would still be warm when you received it? laugh out loud
