Wishapplist site launched for Windows phone. Do you think it will help?

Do you think this will get apps on the windows store?

WishAppList is yet another project by fans to contact #brands by using the power of numbers. It requests users to post apps that are missing and then vote on them, after a specific number, the WishAppList will attempt to contact them. Though I perceive that #brands will have a slightly more different and less emotional view of the situation than fans will, it doesn't hurt to give it a try (I mean, your dignity will take a beating but no one has to know)

Vote for your favourite apps on WishAppList on the source link below, and then promptly go back to enjoying your life.

Yeah, because not knowing that users want Windows phone support is actually what's preventing developers for building for the platform. Doesn't have anything to do with the OS or that they don't even have any kind of worthwhile market share. That 1.7% market share [betanews.com] means no one is going to invest the time and effort into building or porting apps to an OS that no one wants to use.

Part of the reason no one wants it is because of lack of apps.

Android and iOS very literally own the market for mobile devices. It's simply not worth most developer's time to try and port things to an OS that is barely used. If I was running any company and we were going to build an app unless I knew a large majority of my target audience ran Windows Phone.. I wouldn't even consider making a Windows app.

Also - Is low adoption really because of a lack of app support? Or is it more likely that there are no apps because no one wants the OS in the first place?

People don't hate Windows phones. People hate Android phones. People hate iOS phones.

In order to develop anything close to hate Windows phones would have to be relevant.

Yeah, the only thing that would really help Windows Phone is for either Apple or Android phones to stop existing.

I have a windows phone and it's fine for me, it has everything I need but then I rarely use my phone. I would love more apps but don't want to waste too much time playing games on a phone.
