A police car chase of two burglars ends in craziness.

*snip*Moments later, the driver lost control when the Civic hit a curb near Rainier Avenue South. The car went through a parking lot, crashed into a fence and mailbox and went down an embankment, where the Civic landed on top of a parked BMW, police said. Undaunted, the two men took off running and apparently dove into Lake Washington, as officers quickly found a very damp 22-year-old man, believed to be the passenger in the car, sitting on a bench in a locked, fenced area outside a magic shop in the 9400 block of Rainier Ave South. Officers then noticed an important clue to the whereabouts of the second man: A set of wet footprints. Those footprints led the officers to a nearby condo complex a block over, where residents were scurrying out of the building as a fire alarm blared. Officers followed the wet footprints up to the sixth floor where they found a wet jacket next to a pulled fire alarm, police said. Eventually, officers found their 26-year-old damp suspect hiding in an electrical room. The man wouldn't surrender, despite being in possibly the worst place to be wet. Police eventually barged into the room and found the man, who had removed his pants. *snip* http://komonews.com/news/local/fi...sing-pants |
