Friendly reminder about the slickdeals trade rules. These rules apply everywhere on the site, including pm.

Note rule #12 in particular: "You can trade an item that has a value over $5 for any other item that has a value of $5 or less. For example, you can trade a Fandango GC (ARV $13.50) for a $5 Amazon CG, but you cannot trade the Fandango code for something over $5 (like a $14 Amazon GC)."

In brief, you are free to trade gift cards of any value but the most that you can ask for in exchange is a $5 gift card. Similarly, the most you can offer someone for their gift card is a $5 gift card. Please feel free to pm a mod if you need clarification.

They are going to fix that in the next update. they know that, ios users can't convert points right now.

Same here. Just saw the same message when I tried to switch devices to redeem points. I have emailed them but should take a while for them to respond (if they do)

Came here to say the same thing.
It's annoying.
You have 2 choices:
Do nothing -or- email support at the address they gave.

I chose to email support.

I wanted to say nasty things to them too...but instead chose to be nice.
Support people get shat-upon a lot for things that really aren't in their control.
Follow Patrick Swayze's Roadhouse advice: be nice (until it's time not to be nice)
nod
I know this is an issue from yesterday and read alot that followed, but thought I'd give my experience. In first few days of v3.0 I was running the twelve hr tennis game and was thinking of doing music, as I thought bibi had stated she did or somebody else. But really just wanted to see if I could start 2 phones with same viggle. I had no problem in doing this. So this problem with multiple devices and one viggle account is new, or maybe (I think I read) converting pts on different device. I haven't done viggle since yesterday morning to try to get the 5pt Ellen ads, I think I picked up a random cheap phone and signed in.
Any chance you used phone for more than one viggle account.

Or George Clooney's in From Dusk Til Dawn -- "Be cool. Everybody, be cool."

Was this thru an email or did it show up when trying to get into Viggle on your phone?
Showed up when signing into my iPad.
Of course I tried hard closing and signing in a few times, got the same message. Looked here; no one reported rogue cancellation (yet), so I sent a (nice) email asking to be reinstated. Immediately received an auto-reply with a case number. Came back here and saw it happened to a few others.

Attachment 3994675

Weird thing? I tried to sign in this morning and all seems to be fine.
But I haven't received another email and the exchange points page page is still ghost white (known problem; still not fixed.)

You were never allowed to sign on 2 devices at the same time with Viggle. Perk is a different story. But if you are using the viggle app - I would say one device only.....unless you want the risk of being banned.

As always, YMMV.
I've only have one Viggle account, so that wasn't the issue.
From a Perk point of view, running a single app on multiple devices seems to be ok (but that doesn't seem to be explicitly stated as "ok" in their terms)

New Viggle terms, however, seem pretty straight forward (From section 3, Eligibility):
An individual may use his or her account on up to five different devices, but an individual may only be logged into one device at a time.
source: http://viggleprod.wpengine.com/te...onditions/

For what it's worth, my viggle account works again. I don't know if the cancellation was a bug that got fixed or if customer service took care of it and did't email me. Whatever. I'm just going to keep my head down and hope the next update allows (at least) one of my iOS devices to convert/exchange my viggle points.

That was their old rules. I doubt if the new rules are in writing yet - maybe some they are carrying forward. That's why people should BE VERY CAREFUL. It's only a week old .......... Things are bound to happen and bound to change.......

Hey,

Thought I'd update you on common misconceptions we are finding among our users. We'd appreciate your help clearing this up:

User are not losing their points. Their points are NOT simply gone. There is a record in our system of their previous balance. We hope they will be patient as we help each and every one of them access their Viggle balance.

After merging, some users may see they already have Perk Points in their account. Many think this is the conversion but it is not. Again, these are NOT their converted Viggle points. These are the points Perk gives to all new users upon signing up. Users must manually convert their Viggle Points to Perk Points by selecting the 'Exchange Viggle Points' tab in the menu.
1) If they don't see the tab, they will once we issue the update next week.

2) Some iPhone 4S users cannot convert because the number display blocks the exchange button. We are issuing a fix for this.

The system will not automatically convert their points. This also applies when they've earned the required 1000 Perk Points (post 3.0) to unlock 20k Viggle Points.

Many users are selecting 'Sign Up' instead of 'Log In' thereby creating a new account instead of actually logging into their Viggle account. They have the option of starting over (being sure to 'Log In' their Viggle account); or if they've earned Perk Points they want to keep, they can contact [email protected] to see if those Perk Points can be retrieved.

As always, if you have any further questions, please let me know.

Regards,

I wouldn't say misconception - more like...... even reading from this thread......some people want things DONE for them. They don't want to do it themselves, even after you give them step by step instructions. They want it done and they want it now. There is no waiting period for them. They want perfection from the start. I want to say its common sense that no-one lost any points but some people see -0- and that's what they believe. Even on this thread - very few vigglers went back over a few pages to see if they were having the same problems - or even to see if there were instructions posted which a few vigglers did post for both android and ios

Call me old-school, but I find this whole situation laughable because no-one has the patience to sit it out. I post on the thread to see if I could help, but patience is what vigglers need right now.

yeah on Facebook i tried to help one dude and told him to read back thru the posts, he said "oh i don't have time to read thru all that" and it's like, why repeat the same thing over and and over when it's already been discussed... but at the same time, i notice some people seem to have the same problem, but have reported it differently, so in my mind sometimes, oh it's a new problem, when after thru the discussions, it is the same thing LOL hope i make sense.

and i don't want anyone to get me wrong, i don't mind helping NO ONE, but all it takes to solve a lot of problems is to read what has already been posted and people helped thru...

and the one thing that is needed, b/c Viggle has said they will release a new update this week, is we just need to be patient..

while i can't Viggle at all on my Android Frown so i'm not earning any points, my hubby can and so i been playing w/ his account instead and just let mine sit and idle til the new update.. while i do get to cure my Viggle fix in some sense, i'm earning points for hubby instead of myself.. but guess what? i have no choice, and i have to be patient before i get to play w/ my account...and he can take his back, which he is not going to like having to keep the app open.. LOL.. i usually try to steer him from the problems and figure them out, and just let him enjoy what he likes, so he has no clue half the time what's going on LOL..

patience is all everyone needs...

Why is Viggle relying on 3rd party bloggers and non employees to sooth the masses? This would have been a fine email for me (and all other users) to receive in our inboxes. When a company is going out of the way to not inform the users of a mass problem on a mass scale, you have to look to motive.

Much of their current "efforts" could be saved if they would simply, officially release this sort of information to their customers.

I understand you may be too in the thick of it to see how this is a problem, but it is. A big one. And it should probably be concerning to all of us.

Maybe because many vigglers dont read the entire message or only pick & choose a few words out of it. Even on this blog the negativity & accusations were so high, I had to sit back & laugh. Points Stolen? Give me a break.... People seem to have forgotten their common sense and are just reacting negatively and harshly I might add. So sometimes no message with any type of explanation is better ....especially since on twitter they know the problem and are working on it...and that may take awhile.

The problem for most people is that is didnt get fixed fast enough for each individual person.
