Friendly reminder about the slickdeals trade rules. These rules apply everywhere on the site, including pm.

Note rule #12 in particular: "You can trade an item that has a value over $5 for any other item that has a value of $5 or less. For example, you can trade a Fandango GC (ARV $13.50) for a $5 Amazon CG, but you cannot trade the Fandango code for something over $5 (like a $14 Amazon GC)."

In brief, you are free to trade gift cards of any value but the most that you can ask for in exchange is a $5 gift card. Similarly, the most you can offer someone for their gift card is a $5 gift card. Please feel free to pm a mod if you need clarification.

Maybe because many vigglers dont read the entire message or only pick & choose a few words out of it. Even on this blog the negativity & accusations were so high, I had to sit back & laugh. Points Stolen? Give me a break.... People seem to have forgotten their common sense and are just reacting negatively and harshly I might add. So sometimes no message with any type of explanation is better ....especially since on twitter they know the problem and are working on it...and that may take awhile.

The problem for most people is that is didnt get fixed fast enough for each individual person.
This. 100% this. How many tweets do we have to read about people saying they are having a problem converting their 2.6 million points or that their iPad has a white page on the conversion screen? Etc.

while i can't Viggle at all on my Android Frown so i'm not earning any points, my hubby can and so i been playing w/ his account instead and just let mine sit and idle til the new update.. while i do get to cure my Viggle fix in some sense, i'm earning points for hubby instead of myself.. but guess what? i have no choice, and i have to be patient before i get to play w/ my account...
Maybe a dumb question here, but why are you not earning points? I mean, I get that you cannot Viggle on your device, but since all points are now Perk points, why not load a few of the Perk apps or open up your browser with perk.tv/home and start earning Perk points? I would assume that you'll earn points much faster with Perk apps other than Viggle-- it's at the low end of earning potential and requires far more work too.

P.S. Tried to rep your email share, but apparently I don't spread enough love around...

If you go into a Perk app or web page and do something to earn Perk Points does that show up in the total Perk points in the viggle App???

If you log off a device (a phone) and then log into the app on a Tablet, are there any issues with switching devices? Don't want to bump into some limitation and toss all this into Limbo until I get all my points redeemed for something.

Your Perk pts show up on viggle app no matter where u earn them. As far as I've read on this thread (& it's not a blog, so new users please refrain from referring to it as such), as long as you DO log out of 1 device before perking on another, you should be ok. Just make sure you remember to LOG OUT. Some here are reporting getting accts cancelled & we think people forgetting to log out of each device ... being logged into many at once ... is the cause. Good luck Smilie

With Viggle, you should log off first device before attempting to log on to second device.
With Perk apps, they can run concurrently on multiple devices.

I'm almost in same titanic lifeboat as you. Can't viggle worth a damn, checkins freeze. But a few perk apps work fine ... scratch, word search, trivia. However, perk tv crashes, a couple other things dont work, & I refuse to download add ins. Don't need any vulnerabilities to let in viruses & malware. So far have only a few hundred pts on my Droids since 3.0. That's not good. It's taking way too long to get 1000 pts for next conversion Frown

My question to Dawg was based on her comment that since she couldn't get Viggle to work, she couldn't earn points. But that, of course, is only one way to earn points with Perk so I was wondering if she had tried any other of the apps and or devices. Perhaps she has similar issues noted above, perhaps she's just a Viggler.

At any rate, I understand that Droids are freezing when launching ads with Viggle check ins. That's too bad and will hopefully get fixed in the coming days. Most droid devices don't have this issue with PerkTV, the "main" Perk app, which earns far more than Viggle. But there are some droid devices that do have problems, so it's good to bear in mind that specific devices can have specific issues, that the problem is not necessarily with Droid OS devices. All that said, checking into a show is one of the slowest ways to earn points and requires having the app open the entire time.

I run LG Fuels for PerkTV, PPQ, WS, etc and have not had any issues with these devices. I have a Coolpad that constantly freezes with launching ads and videos, so I just loaded Rewards Reader on that one and use it occasionally for that.

When I do have a problem with the Fuels, I clear that app data, hard close the app, and relaunch. 99% or the time, it works all of the time.

I suppose it terms of point earnings, there will be a learning curve. But in the end I believe that people will figure out how to earn well over 1K in Perk points a day with minimal investments of time and energy.

lol it's not a dumb question..
1 - limited internet data - but i usually don't go over my "unlimited data plan" (which really has a cap and only slows my internet way down if i do reach it)

2 - i have several little LG phones, but my kids take them but i finally found a couple of them today, so i thought about charging them up and starting back using Perk TV

3 - my phone - Note Edge - i don't really want all these apps downloaded on my phone, b/c i use it for a lot of other things, and don't want my battery to die much, since i can only upgrade to a new phone every year or so... I will say i did download the perk browser, so i can enter the Perk codes (which i haven't seen one in awhile???) and i did download perk scratch and win,i just don't want my phone being used to play Perk TV when i need it for important phone calls and texts (my kids text me a lot when they aren't home and i need to be able to quickly get to it and also don't want my phone staying charged up all the time)

LOL that's all my reasons! sorry so long - -

oh i could use my computer, but i noticed when i did it the other day, some of my keys on my keyboard quit working and my computer started acting funny, i had to restart it to get my keyboard to work back right, and my computer to act right.. so i refuse to play the videos on my computer now... I have an iMac, and i use Safari and Google Chrome, but for some reason, ever since i started to play those videos and taking forever for them to load, my computer and keyboard acting up, i was like NOPE NOT FOR ME! haha..

ugh i can't remember what these little phones are .. i think they are Fuel or Optimum?? EDIT: oops, i mean the little phones i have lol

and yes, it's so important to clear the app data, and hard close the app, and the app will start back running fine.. i used to Perk and play those phones all day, that was so many months ago, like maybe a year ago ... and i had quit and just stuck w/ Viggle.. so yeah, i prefer Viggling, i just wish we could Viggle like the old ways Frown it's been a transformation in my mind to accept these changes, and i'm trying to be positive about it and look at the points i earn and compare it to the Viggle way, and some of it is BETTER, but just not keeping the app on that check in page makes it better Frown it's that mind thing and accepting these changes, and looking for the positives that is helping me stay w/ Viggle and to Viggle On! lol LMAO

Have you tried Perk.tv/home on your computer? That is probably the fastest earner of points right now.

Makes sense, DFFL.

If you have a data cap, Perk is especially a bad deal. You'd be lucky to break even with data charges. Turning on Low bandwidth can help but it doesn't solve the problem entirely.

i have noticed when i used to run my little LG phones, about a year ago, i would have low bandwidth check marked, and my internet seemed to be fine just like a day or two before the new months would begin, that's when my internet would REALLY slow down... so i feel like i will be ok if i just run those videos, but i know one time when i had first started Perking, i didn't have that box checked, and whoa, i had to go the rest of the month w/ very slow internet and i freaked out! lol i had to use my hubby's mobile hotspot since he didn't lose his unlimited data w/ Verizon (i lost mine b/c i had upgraded Frown )

thanks for talking w/ me, i am actually coming up w/ ideas to do in reference to my internet issues.. i do keep forgetting my hubby has unlimited data on his Verizon phone, and it would be worth that $2 or $3 a month to use mobile hotspot (i just couldn't use his data until he is home from work at night) ok i'm starting to think out loud so i will end this post LOL but i am coming up w/ ideas.. so thanks for opening this discussion to help me see what i can do!!!!!!!! YOU ROCK

oh yeah i wanted to get w/ you about making that FAQ.. i still have my post opened where i copied your info and other's info to help Vigglers, and i need to organize so i can place it nice and neat on the front, that way when people ask questions, we can just give them the link to the front and say "here, read this" lol

only if you are interested in helping me organize it.... i don't have time today to really do much and tomorrow i have to take my middle child to doctor, and honestly i don't have the free time to do as much as i can, so if i had you and maybe another person who wants to help me organize it, i can give you the link to a google doc, where we can all edit it and format it - just let me know! thanks!!! (and you will get the credit for your help - i am big time on giving them credit where credit is due!!)

Thanks for the feedback, on the Perk.tv site I see green coins that relate the perk points I am accumulating on the Viggle app, as well as those from playing videos, but what is the gold coin, it says I have 10000, but I cannot find out what that means, perhaps I am am overlooking it completely.
