You should probably add that it has a 965m to the title.
As good as the raw hardware is for the price, I'm very concerned this isn't a smart purchase. After all the deals on Slickdeals it's basically impossible to find a real review from anyone on this machine. I've never seen anything like it, there just aren't reviews. There's an unboxing on YouTube by a 13 year old. Seems like an $800 gamble. I want to believe but I've never seen anything with basically no reviews.
So, $200 more for a lower-spec GPU @ Costco, doesn't make sense.

I've owned one in the past, and a close friend owns one now. Granted, both of ours are desktops. The build quality is good and both of our units were 100% operational when we received them (fresh install of Windows, worked perfectly out of the box). Wiring was messy, but that won't be an issue with a laptop. My only gripe is that CyberPower doesn't always use name-brand components, but that's also how they keep the cost down.

Someone in the other thread I believe said this is a rebranded MSI, but don't quote me on that.

It looks like one, and I would think it'd be better for them to state that so we'd get an Idea for quality, like ibuypower always mentions if it's an MSI. If it was like $500-$600 I'd consider just risking it. Costco has an Asus with a 960 for $1000 with extended warranty included. And I know Costco customer service. I'd feel better if notebookcheck or someone reviewed this machine first

I found this review on consumer affairs:

"I bought the Tracer-15 200 laptop and not even three months the LCD back cover breaks after use. I just opened my laptop like any other day and the LCD back cover breaks from the inside screws without forcing it. I guess that's what happens when they are cheap on getting LCD back covers that are screwed with only the back cover. The nut screws attached to the back LCD cover broke off and now I can even open or close my screen without trying to break the screen.

I called them said I have to ship it and I have to pay to ship, the part, and labor asking for more than what its worth. The folding arm that makes the LCD close and open is good it's just the case that wasn't well built but they say it's physical damage and is not covered by the warranty. I ask if I could get the cover itself and buy it they just said to either go to Best Buy or else where to fix it. If anyone know where to get the back cover replacement for it or the whole body case please help and message me. "

You're buying a brand name and an extended warranty. I'm not willing to pay $1000 but you know what you're getting. Here there's no information to make this worth $800 except the raw parts. Cyberpowerpc had something similar and it was a MSI so you could research and determine quality

If you're going to pay that much, you might as well keep going and get one with a 1060. Maybe once some people get theirs from the last deal, there will be more information and reviews.

The deal they ran on this laptop 2 weeks ago was better. (Better headset, 16GB RAM instead of 8GB)

With that being said, this is still a decent deal considering you get bunch of freebies with it. The gtx 965m is about 70-80% faster than the usual gtx 960m we see in this price range. The OEM for this laptop is the same as one of the MSI models that's currently out there.

Also, you can configure this laptop without the OS or the HDD for $624, which makes it a great deal for me since I already have a copy of Windows 10 and a 256GB M.2 SSD laying around.

This is a much better deal

This is 100 dollars more ( 999 - 100 rebate), with a better design, twice the RAM, and actual reviews online.
