This isn't a traditional voice/text/data plan, it is a data plan. Voice service and texts are provided over the data network using the FreedomPop app, not over the voice network. (On Android, the FP app replaces your dialer app. On iOS, you need to use the FP app, it does not use your phone's regular dialer and texting apps, though iMessage should work to another iOS device). Voice service with the FreedomPop app, especially inbound calls, can be unpredictable. If you are using the phone in areas with poor data service, it will have poor voice service.
Do BOTH to get free service (though you may want to make sure your SIM is activated properly before downgrading):

I'm still fighting them. They are saying it's not them or the fact that it's a European Global SIM. They are saying it's because I have not turned 4G on for the 4G Hotspot.
I warn everyone, there is a 98% chance you'll receive a 3G Global SIM. Good luck getting the right one. Freedompop Support and shipping departments don't know the SIMs are different.
