Without insurance, the cheapest I've found is either Walmart or Costco. Both just shy of $60.
I have no issues wearing mine even out of the house. I would say it's a sensational deal for $7. People forget how much they were paying for glasses before these Chinese cheapies come online. These $7 glasses would have been $200-$300 at your local optometerist. You know, you can dust off the wallet and pay $20 more for better frames if you don't like the cheap ones. That's still a sensational price.

You can get things like this to deal with the nose slickness. They don't last forever, the glue lets go, but long enough that replacing them isn't an issue.

How does it work if you choose something that's not 6.95?

I purchased a pair of glasses from Googles4u nearly 3 months ago for $1 + $5.95 shipping. In terms of quality, I would say it's pretty crappy (plastic frame w/ not much grip, causing it to be flimsy and occasionally slide off my nose). However, for a total of $7, I still think it was a good deal if you were to use it as a temporary back-up pair or just wear them around in the house.

Visionworks currently has a $10 eye exam offer. You should be able to find a coupon on their website.

Then this is no deal, since DIST399 make it $3.99. $3.99 is pretty much the regular price. I guess Slickdeals gets the other $3 if you use their code. Wink
