no its not.. 3d projectors will continue carrying the torch... adding it to TVS was a failed attempt to bring it to mass market but because of the puny 60-75" it was being placed on it left a lot to be desired...

with a massive ammount of 3d content.. the true 3d connoisseurs who use 100" + screens and true surround sound (no sound bar crap) will be unaffected and because companies are willing to make 3d to charge more at theatres to the masses with imax 3d.. we will continue enjoying this awesome technology..
Too bad the 3D fad never took off.....most of the animated 3D flicks are AWESOME when viewing in 3D. Live action 3D movies are hit & miss with only a handful that truly look great in 3D (Avatar, Gravity, The Force Awakens to name a few).

I have a collection of 3D movies which we love to watch. For these prices, I'm still going to buy them since our new LG 4k OLED HDTV plays 3D movies. And, we'll keep it for a while.

It gets send right away. If you signed up with gmail, look under promotions tab. That's where mine was.

Fair warning, Exodus Gods and Kings is not only a horrible movie, the 3D effect is barely there. It's up there with being one of the worse 3D application I've seen in a movie.

3D cinema is not a fad. It's just not as good on a TV as it is on a home projector with a 100+" screen, which absolutely blows everyone away that experiences it.

This is why many newer TV's don't support 3D and all modern home theater projectors do.

You didn't even read my post. There is a reason 3D on TELEVISION has faded but 3D on projectors is as strong as ever.
