1st of all Ultimate Spider-Man is $1.99 as someone also said. Decided to try the free comics I set up the account they require and had to sign with Amazon account. Turns out with every free comic they give your E-mail address to each maker of the comics so expect tons of junk mail. I looked at 4 different free comics. They seem to be 1st chapter or a very short starter comic. Nothing like a regular comic book in my and my son's opinion. Also looked at deal they offer for unlimited comics for monthly fee and they have very limited selection (in our opinions) of comics. Also you are only allowed to view in one device so that means you can't switch back and forth between phone when out and a tablet when home. One plus they do have a a ton of free ones. I personally and my kids don't want to start something and not have a finish. What we use: kindle, the free Amazon prime books and magazines, (not sure if they have comics) and another way we get free comics online is with Google play books and they are sending $5 to $7 coupons lately almost every month. I was able to get my daughter 6 books for next to nothing and also pre-order the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. I also got her some My Little Pony comics with coupons. Also my husband and daughter and I (I have 3 google play accounts) all have Google play accounts with different emails for each phone and tablets so we get extra coupons that way. Each email doesn't get exactly same amount of coupons. She also enjoys ordering free samples of comics and (books) sometimes they are pretty long almost and or as long as the comics I used to buy as kid. Often times they are whole story start to finish as some of their comic books have quite a few story lines. But often they are starter comics also. Is great way to see if you are going to like the comic though and no unnecessary spam mail.
