Flat fares apply to rides up to a $20 value for uberPOOL or $25 value for uberX (based on time and distance). If your total ride cost exceeds the maximum value, you'll be charged the flat fare, plus an overage for the dollar amount over the maximum ride value covered.

What's the catch here? I can do Milbrae to Sunnyvale (for example) 8 times a week at those flat prices? Seems a bit too good to be true. Are there zones within that larger Bay Area map that they provide? The map is huge and with traffic there are a few 2 hour rides within that map.

There is a cap, if the normal uber pool rate for that commute would be $40 you'd only get the first $20 off

FYI, the 30 days includes the day you sign up. I wish I had waited until tomorrow as I had already taken a ride home for the day. I was a tester of this program a few months ago and saved a lot of money, so I signed up immediately.

It looks like cheaper than taking Bart from East bay to San Francisco. But I am not sure about the traffic and the time spent.

I spend $10 both way plus $3 parking every day...that is gonna a lot cheaper.
