Will flat fares cover rides of any price?

$2.49 uberPOOL and $4.99 uberX flat fare pricing covers almost every trip within the San Francisco Bay Area, up to a $20 value for uberPOOL or $25 value for uberX. If the total cost of your ride exceeds the maximum value stated, you'll be charged the flat fare price, plus any remaining amount above the maximum value.

I'm politically agnostic when it comes to good deals.
Just bought this and tested it out, it works! A trip from my work to my house, across all of SF, that is usually $15-$20, shows up at $4.99.
no i definitely wont, a bribe would be taken everyday and i would never show up, probably be better then the guy we got though

Trips eligible within designated zone, but does not include rides to or from SFO Airport, OAK Airport, and SJC Airport. See map for detailed information.

Wondering whether this would work on daily commute to work (25 miles per trip)

Flat fares apply to rides up to a $20 value for uberPOOL or $25 value for uberX (based on time and distance). If your total ride cost exceeds the maximum value, you'll be charged the flat fare, plus an overage for the dollar amount over the maximum ride value covered.

I'm confused... Their map is showing I can do Sonoma to Los Gatos for $4.99 UberX?

What's the catch here? I can do Milbrae to Sunnyvale (for example) 8 times a week at those flat prices? Seems a bit too good to be true. Are there zones within that larger Bay Area map that they provide? The map is huge and with traffic there are a few 2 hour rides within that map.

Sounds too good to be true indeed. People may take this to visit GG bridge? Will I be charged for toll?

There is a cap, if the normal uber pool rate for that commute would be $40 you'd only get the first $20 off

FYI, the 30 days includes the day you sign up. I wish I had waited until tomorrow as I had already taken a ride home for the day. I was a tester of this program a few months ago and saved a lot of money, so I signed up immediately.

It looks like cheaper than taking Bart from East bay to San Francisco. But I am not sure about the traffic and the time spent.

I spend $10 both way plus $3 parking every day...that is gonna a lot cheaper.
