From https://twitter.com/freeserverus, they now have limited openings for free vps. It is very limited, only 1% CPU, 1Mbps speed. But free is free, and you get a static ipv4 for free.

Neither did I, you have to select the correct server all the way at the bottom and put in the code. Never asked for any payment information, just name/address/etc.

those specs arent even worth the time to setup a vps. You can get sometime 1000x better for a few bucks a year. 1mbps network and 25gb bandwith is pitiful. 1mbps is going to be a turtle.

Not to mention the amount of abuse and crazy stuff people are going to do with these... if you want it to do anything reliably at all, like send an email once per day, good luck relying on it.

As he said, just get a very very cheap VPS from somewhere else, that will at least be reliable.

I can't even log in to mine after it was setup. L/P sent in the email doesn't work. I can get into the control panel but not into the SSH.

They offer free upgrade if you spam them out to your friends too...
