there are many cities/towns around the country that have big box store bans to encourage buying from local or state based companies or made in usa only. depends on the regulation. in texas quite a few small towns have made in usa only commercial zones. i would think of it as a more conservative idea honestly, but i guess there are many liberals that prefer made in usa only products.
