Got this coupon in my email as an "anniversary" gift. Expires 6/30/17. $5 off $50. No limits except the usual (gas, tobacco, booze and vacations)

Honestly I've had this coupon for some time - it originally had an expiration of 12/31/16, then was updated sometime early January to not expire until 6/30/17. Perhaps it's some sort of rolling offer.
Spend $50, get $5 off. Initially there was no $50 required spend (BJ's coupons, although rare, usually don't have that limitation regardless of what they say), then with the new coupon in January the $50 is indeed required. I can confirm it works, and it works multiple times per member.
FWIW I originally got this as an email and although the text says "Transfer or online positing will be considered a trademark violation", inside the email there was a "share with a friend" as well as a "view online" link (which is above and I edited to remove personal information).
Lastly, you DO need to print this out (smartphone won't work) and I've found that printing the page out directly is the ONLY method that I can get working. If I try to scale/resize/screencap and condense multiple onto a single page, the scanner doesn't pick up the barcode. (FWIW I ONLY EVER go to the self-scan lanes, never to a person)
