I called Wells Fargo to confirm the deal. My wife was envious when I got a fat check from the previous deal.
I showed my sympathy by calling to confirm the deal is still around. They renewaled it.

Wells Fargo does soft pull. credit score will be not affected

Yeah pretty scummy .You have to choose between online and paper statements.You can't have both. I suppose they are hoping you choose paper lose track,and don't fulfill the debit card transaction requirements so they can ding you with a service charge.
