The Apple AppleCare 3-Year Extended Protection Plan extends your coverage for 3 years of both telephone support and service coverage. This provides you with expert assistance, global repair coverage, web-based resources and diagnostic tools. AppleCare can be purchased at any time within your first year of Mac ownership.
Always a tough choice with this vs. going with a third party agent (i.e. Squaretrade).
On one hand, AppleCare makes repairs fairly simple by getting everything done by Apple but on the other....AppleCare does not cover accidental damages which a Squaretrade warranty would.
3 years from the time of the computer purchase. This extends the warranty by 2 years, in addition to the existing 1 year warranty all new/refurbished macs come with when purchased from an apple authorized reseller/store. You have up to one year from the initial purchase date to purchase the extended applecare
ants might do the trick, but then you'll have to find a way to clean those off (i'm still dealing with that)

Is it 3 years from the time of purchase of AppleCare, or the Mac itself? I'm wondering if I can get this, and use it on a MacBook purchase I don't plan on doing for another few months

Thanks for the info! So just to confirm, I could buy this now, and apply it to a new MacBook Purchase in a few months?
219, no tax. Damn this is cheaper than EDU for a good margin. Nice work OP.

Yes but there really is no reason to wait. Your machine includes 90 days phone support but this extends it for the full year on top of the two years extra you're paying for. Most people don't actually care about the phone support but its something to consider.

Squaretrade doesn't give you phone support. SQT also limits the amount of repairs they'll pay for, so if you hit your ceiling your SOL.
