Only good for small tools or light use of the trimmer. Blower, mower, etc will burn it out fast.

The usability on the ego is better than Ryobi. Pros and cons for both depending on the model. But the little things on the ego like convenience of folding wins for me. If you have a medium to small...

Feel like a manual extendable pole saw for greater lengths might be better, unless you have a lot of branches that is just out of reach.

Buy it, swap it, sell it. The new power head has very little use. Hope they release more tools that can use the extra power that is worth the value.

Trying to dump the old models by adding the battery to the combo.

I saw review of the IQ line. Some people didn't like it because it was slow at making the line longer and usually didn't make it long enough to their preference. Anyone care to comment on their...

I prefer angled pavers, so I can my wheels on it without needing a trimmer. In addition of blowing things out of plants or garden. This would trap everything. Let me know what you think.

After a couple years, I hated the v8. Go with a higher model. The battery wears out fast on this model.

Use them from time to time, don't let it sit with no charge, keep it safe in room temperature and away from direct sunlight. Also, don't drop your battery.

Alternatively, if you have an old radio system, might be worth the money and effort to change it out with an aftermarket radio. Went through 2 OEM rav4 radios that failed. Installed aftermarket radio...

I've used it and it works good. Debating if I should get it or try the free mulch that the city puts out. The city dumps a huge sagging pile of mulch. But quality can be questionable for the obvious...

The powerload can be problematic if it gets wet or has debri preventing it from working. Just adds more strain than convenience.

I'm hesitant about Ryobi mowers long term. They have a long history of bad electric mowers. They have a tendency to rush new models out and just give it a try. Maybe they'll get lucky....

It depends on the model. More $$, better performance. If I had to guess, you don't have the highest and latest models. They would blow your mind but I wouldn't pay their price. lol

Plastic welding works great. So many variations but they all work pretty much the same. Just make sure to have air circulating. Melting plastic can be nasty.

2.5 battery has a low use case. Unless you have a very small property. It will burn out fast for most ego equipment. Maybe use it to charge usb devices?

Slightly cheaper than regular. Lowe's had a huge discount on this combo before. If you can wait, you may get better discount, especially around holidays.

I got these without the cover long ago. They work fine for cheap scissors. Just don't have too much expectation compared to more expensive ones.
