This thread has been retired and locked, preserving it for reference. The new thread can be found here.

**NOW OFFERING** IPS gives you $75 Click to enlarge

1gb shuffles - 1000 points
$75 iTunes gift card - 1000 points
4gb nanos - 2000 points
80gb classic - 3000 points
urlhasbeenblocked - 4000 points
iPhone - 5000 points

This has nothing to do with deals. Thought I would make a thread to talk about IPS and off topic chatting so we can't get in trouble.

Well hows everyone doing?
Almost 2k points.

Now IPS is one of the greatest sites to earn and win ipods for free ( or almost free )

SOME COMMON FAQs

Do I have to use my real address and phone number?
NO! You can get a virtual phone number or use your favorite Burger King, McD, etc.

Should I make a new email address?
This is a definite YES. Make a free yahoo, gmail etc. Hotmail has problems. You will be getting THOUSANDS of spam emails.

Why won't my farking points credit, it's been over a week?
If you are having trouble getting certain offers to credit, (most of us do) you can email IPS [email protected]

I just cashed out for an IPOD, does it really take a long agonizing 4-6 weeks?
Well, NO, most of us have received our IPODS within 1-2 weeks and sometimes sooner!

I didn't get a confirmation email/shipping email, will I still get my iPod?

YES, you will. I sometimes don't get either email and still get the iPod days later

If you win a shuffle from the daily drawing, you'll receive it approximately 3 weeks after you get the notification. This assumes the following: it takes about 4-5 business days from the time you get the notification and IPS getting your documents by mail, they take about 1 week to process your win (from my experience), UPS takes one week to ship. They will not automatically send you a tracking number. You can not substitute the win for 1000 pod points (many people have tried and have been denied).

MORE TO COME SOON!!

*Updated* Easy Points for New Users

Sign up bonus = 200 points

True.com Free Trial (easy, cost 1.15, refunded. cancel online) = 152 points

True.com Free Trial round two (make sure u cancel first one and r logged out) = 152 points

Netflix Free Trial (i think theres a holding charge but it doesnt show on my credit card, easy to cancel online) = 136 points

Britannica Online (easy, cancel online) = 56 points

Gottaplay $1 Trial (charges you for a month upfront then refunds if you cancel within 10 days. cancel online) = 84 points

Emusic $.99 Trial (cancel online, easy) = 48 points

so theres 828 points in 20 minutes. you can omit the last two and get ~700 points for free.

notice that this is only current as of this post and the offers can change as the blockbuster offer did. make sure you read before you sign up.
--First of all I suggest you use another email address other than your personal one (hotmail seems to work best) because you will receive a lot of spam in your inbox when you sign up for all these different offers.

--Don't use your real phone number. I got a free online voice mail from http://k7.net/ It will send you an email when you have a voice message, although, I never bothered to listen to them.

--If an offer says you receive a certain amount of points for entering your zip code, that's all you have to do. You can close everything else out (you'll get pop ups.) Same goes for the email address offers.

--I didn't do any offers that required a CC# for a free trial but a friend did (I always forget to cancel the darn things.) She got enough points for a Nano in about 10 days with the free trial offers. I got enough points for a Shuffle in 5 days sticking to just the totally free, no CC# required offers.

--I didn't do any of the free ring tone offers because most tend to charge you through your cell phone carrier. I didn't want to chance being nailed with a fee of $9.99 on my cell bill so I didn't do any of those.

--Make sure you check the email address you used to sign up for your account and the offers (use the same one) because some of the offers require you to confirm through the email they sent. It won't take long before you'll be able to tell what junk mail is and what requires you to confirm.

--I suggest keeping track of all the offers you have completed. That way, if for some reason you don't receive credit, you can contact iPodsweepstakes with the date you completed the offer. They have outstanding customer service and will happily credit you for the offers you didn't receive credit for.

--Don't waste your time emailing them with a question. If you have a problem, question, or concern call them. They don't respond to emails in a very timely manner, but like I said, their phone customer service is incredible.

--Offers usually credit in 5-7 days, some sooner, and some longer.

--Click each link every night to get the max amount of entries into the nightly drawing. You can click the link and close the window before it even pulls the page up. You just have to have clicked the link to receive the credit.

--If you have anymore questions, don't hesitate to PM me and ask. I don't mind helping out.

mod edit.. the deal talk thread was closed for fighting, attacks and other stuff. these mega threads are nearly impossible to moderate. you're on your honor here, we see any crap going on here, this will be closed too.

******,

We are in the process of updating our site to include these new items. Please allow us some time to make the changes.

Thank you,
iPod Support

I would suggest everyone to wait a week or so, obviously if you want the new Ipods.

True, but if I have to dish out about $60-$80 in free trials, offers, etc....for an elite, it's WAY better than paying retail.

I'm still fighting with IPS for my complete home credit (72 pts) eventhough I've sent them my confirmation email with full headers!

NVM - through the power of google...

future reference: 1-800-981-1287 is the # to call to cancel

Let me tell you my BAD experience cancelling Reunion.com -

a CSR rep named Martin told me my account was cancelled as requested but they cannot issue a refund for the $7.00 fee - I argued but to no avail;

I called back a few minutes and another CSR rep (a woman this time) said she can authorize a $4 credit to my CC - I asked her where in the Terms and Agreeement that it state when you sign up the $7 charge is non-refundable? She can't find it nor explain to me but told me either I take the $4 credit or leave it (puttin that mildly) - now I'm really steamed and in the process of filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

So beware if you're signing up for Reunion.com - don't fall into their scam....

PS - I signed up on Aug 13 and cancelled on Aug 15 and they won't refund my money

Zooba did this to me as well. They said NOWHERE that they would charge you $9.95 upon joining, just that each book cost $9.95. I emailed them and asked to cancel and refund. They told me that in order to cancel, I had to complete the membership agreement terms (order 3 books, say I didn't like them, return them) as I would not even have a membership ID # until then and they would have no way to find my account (BS if you ask me...). Then I would be refunded for the books, but not the sign up fee. So in all, I had to spend about $40 + return shipping to cancel a damn account. I argued with them for a few days and finally they gave in and canceled and refunded. I did look up their BBB record and saw they had several cases and all had been resolved, so I did mention contacting the BBB in my last contact with them. You might try that.

Good job, I redeemed for my video on 8/10 nothing yet, but most people are saying it will take 1-2 weeks.
I emailed them, since I didn't even get the confirmation email of having ordered the video. They said that my order showed as processed and they were just waiting to receive the tracking #. To me, that sounds like they've ordered it already. woot I've been without an ipod for just over a year now and it's been so hard laugh out loud

I had to contact IPS to get credit for Great Fun (and I did get it) -- However, I did get my $20 gift card for joining within a week. Just make sure you fill out the form they send you... I got mine next day.

I just did Complete Home, so we'll see what happens there. Should be similar to Great Fun... looks about the same.

At Home Rewards, Value Max, Shopping Essentials, and Simply You all credited almost instantly... however, READ THE FINE PRINT. I cannot emphasize this enough. First off, know that you will not receive the gift cards they lure you in with if you do not stay with them past the 7 day trial. Second, by signing up for the "free trial" you also sign up for a secondary company that will charge you a dollar (non-refundable, and in the fine print). Third, they will trick you into signing up for yet another company for a dollar, which is also in the fine print and you also have to cancel. You'll note in canceling these companies that they are all owned by the same people with the same automated phone number. You'll also wish to be careful when calling not to be tricked into their deceitfully worded "cancel your fees (but pay 19.95 for a year's service)" in the cancellation menu.

Hope it helps... nod

Thanks for the info. If you could answer a bit more for me. So when you sign up can you get any of the offers for the company located here, and when do you cancel? As soon as you fill out the giftcard request? Thanks for the help.
