With this load of hardwood, our nursery project officially began today. I already bought a flooring nailer, and a friend of mine is loaning me his finishing nailer, so we'll be ready to start this weekend.
I'll post pics in this thread as the project progresses.

Did your wife ever pick out a wall paper or did you go out and buy white paint?
I think "your nursery project" began a few months ago
I hope your project goes smoother than the infamous paint the living room. If you hurry you might finish before I do.
Good luck.

Shiny side goes up - Shiny side up. Ommmmmm.
Very little progress so far. Today, I got my office moved around a bit and my wife's new desk built. Her office is still full of 'stuff', but she's mostly packed up now. We slept in late today, and instead of working on the nursery I replaced a deck board and stuck the ladder in the pool so we could swim.
Now I'm a lobster.
After we swam we went and did some shopping she wanted to do. So, progress is slow, but we should be getting started for real tomorrow. I'll post a pic once her office/the nursery is empty.
I'm not too upset that we are so far behind schedule though. Today is our anniversary and we spent a good amount of time treating it as such.

Good luck TR
weI finally started removing the old carpeting and stuff from the nursery. I took a bunch of pics but had some technical difficulties.Anyway, any advice on the best way to remove the molding without destroying it? I'd like to put it back up after the floor is laid down.
So far, the carpet and pad are both up, as well as the carpet tack strips. I have to get a new filter for the shop vac tomorrow and remove the molding around the room, as well as pull up all the staples from the carpet pad. There are dozens of the little bastards.
P.S. I prefer genii.
