Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

So, I hope it catches on !

So pop a beer and pull up a chair and relax !

If you do decide to go with something other than what is included remember you do have the option to go with a 64 bit OS as the Atom N455 chip supports 64 bit instructions.
I tried Linux probably around ten years ago, found it frustrating and went back to Windows. Of course I'm one of those people who invariably gets uptight when a new OS (with new probs) comes along. I clearly remember being POed when Win95 was replaced by '98! lol shake head Since both Linix and I have grown in that time, I probably should check it out. I don't care what you say, I'll always miss my XP Pro.

It's changed quite a lot.
If you have a CD/DVD drive you can attach, or a you can use a USB drive (but you have to make it bootable) you can make a Live CD or USB of it and try it out. It runs right off the CD/USB and doesn't make any changes to the hard drive.

If you can't burn a CD this site:
http://www.pendrivelinux.com/
will walk you thru making a Live USB drive. You should definitely give Linux a spin.

I tried it, and couldn't get it to work on the Marlboro Mobile site. So, sticking wit Firefox 4.
Any idea when FF 4 will be out of beta stage & released? Just curious.

I like no changes to HD! Thanks, mv! I'll check it out later. I'm about 8 tasks past my multi-tasking skills, right now.

No, it's already overdue. I get daily builds and I can tell you that I got pre-beta-13 starting yesterday and it's flaky, definitely some regression to be fixed in that one. I even filed a bug report since a Facebook bookmarklet totally locks it up

They've gotten really ambitious though, they're talking about 5 and even 6 both coming out in 2011. I'm doubting it.

Live CD/DVD/USB are great, it let's you see how it works on your hardware, it lets you see if you like it. Security folks also recommend using a Live Linux CD for online banking. Doesn't have those pesky security problems that Windows has.

Yeah, I'm not holding my breath for 5 or 6 coming out this year either.....since 4 is already overdue.
I'm still using Beta 10, and have had it lock up on me a couple of times. Sent bug reports on them. Drives me nuts when it locks up & I have to reboot.
Been using Chrome more recently for just that reason. Hoping the final release takes care of these issues, because overall I like Firefox best.

I did and loved it. When I first saw the minions, I was thinking the aliens in TS, "The claw. The claw." The "Hey, wait a minute ..." was re: my future (Angie's hand-me-down) minions and my evil plans. Eh. My humor is iffy on a good day and I really am doing (OK, trying to do) about 5 things right now. Come to think of it, my ability to multi-task is iffy on a good day!

Really? I've found with the dailies, at leas on Linux, most are really stable, but then like once every couple of weeks one slips out with some issue and it takes a few updates for them to iron it out again. When that happens I fall back to Chrome or Opera until it's fixed... using Chrome at the moment. The latest FF4 isn't unbearable, aside from the bookmarklet issue, but some pages are really slow and there may be a memory leak. It still has the best addon system though, and the best collection of addons, so I always go back.

Try Beta 11 and see if it is any better. http://www.filehippo.com/download_firefox/
