Weekly Summary:
Each week, the winner fills out a summary of events in the tournament they won ... or they lose their points!
Week 10: (Written by A10Mechs)
A pretty slow game tonight with everyone playing tight and no Bobby or MM to liven things up. Things picked up after I bust my Bro when my J's held against his pust with A8clubs with 2 clubs on the board. Slowly building my stack with timely bet's until the monster upagains RL and Shoagie when my Pocket J's held up against A10 and AQ. After that had everyone dominated with a 6 to 1 chip lead, kept pressure up knocked Arj out w/A10. Heads up was quick with a huge stack lead my pocket 4's tripped on the river to beat KQ.
Week 9: (Written by Iconian)
2 things were different this week. 1 my bankroll dipped below $15 and I, for some reason, started to hit. Never had any premium hand, i think 99 was best, but i flopped several 2 pairs and straights. Took out maybe 7-8 people. Actually tonight, there weren't many massive suckouts (perhaps that's why i had a chance???). We did see rammie, typically talk down his hand to get a call from trusting oponent, lol!. MM amazes me, he called all in with middle pair after preflop raise. Of course tripp had KK. Bobby sat at 9 and it felt like he was gone at 9:01. Didn't see his hands, except for seeing someone saying, "typical bobby play". a10 hang tough. After being crippled by some crap early, he doubled up and stayed tough to the end. Played well at the final table, pushed as he needed and got to heads againts me. We got even chips there for while but then i caught some decent hands (one where u kept betting til i pushed on river, i flopped a FH). Once i got him down to 5k, he slowplayed AK, flop was k2j, both checked, turn was 3, he bet, i reraised and he pushed. i called with j2.
Week 8: (Written by CCJ)
My climb to the top began when I caught a two outer on the river to cripple plite he flopped 3 or a kind with his AQ xQQ flop but my pocket kings prevailed when a K hit the river. Along the way, some notable hands were when RL was crippled trying to buy a pot from me after I flopped a low set, outkicking wuzzys top pair of jacks with my K kicker to his Queen and sending him packing, but the last 30 minutes we all passed chips around until I had AK, pushed into shoagie who had QQ, and a K on the flop sealed his fate, in a bubble. Then two hands later, Lylac fell victim as it was my AK vs his K9, and Rammy and I were heads up.
It was over 5 hands later as Rammy couldnt lay down his AK in the small blind (which he only raised to 2x BB, HU) my 67 held up as I flopped a pair of 7s and saw right through him trying to buy it. In his defense, he did flop the nut flush draw, but even after it didnt pan out on the river, he felt the need to throw his remaining 3354 into a 14,000 pot so I called and then went to bed.
Week 6&7: Written by MChat (aka worst.writeups.ever)
Week 6: MChat blew the dealer and got no fewer than a dozen pocket pairs. He also got a bouty and the victory.
Week 7: MChat continues to do favors for the dealer and found the cards much to his liking. He did not get a bounty, but he did win again....I think he should have collected his own bounty.
Week 5: Written by Tripp
After starting off pretty strong, I hit a run of bad cards and started falling. With about 10 - 13 people left, I was at 955 chips. Among multiple laptop lockups, I was able to double up twice while knocking out Shoagie, Icon, and I think Mav. Soon we were down to 1 table.
On the last table, I was on fire hitting just about everything possible. I was knocking people out left and right. But they were legit knockouts, not like the hit Mav took losing to Quad 6's. We all sort of tinkered around for awhile, especially Ram who was trying his best to out last or take out Lylac Crazy, but was unable to since he was short stacked for a long time. The one time he got a good hand (AA) and pushed, we all folded. I finally took ram out, putting myself, Lylac Crazy, and moviemogul in the money. I was able to take out Lylac Crazy leaving myself and MM heads up. Unfortunately, a hand or two before I took out Lylac Crazy, Moviemogul disconnected. Since it was myself and him only, I had no choice but to blind him out since he never returned. I guess he has only one pc.
Both bounties were taken out by me.
Week 4 writeup (by Lylac Crazy) aka eegman
Alright, first write up, I'll try to make it fun. This week had the fewest players this year. We had 2 six packs. Everyone was nursing their beers for the first 45 min or so. Finally, Plite, first off the nipple with an all in, and goes out first. The pace started picking up after that. I wasn't the one who put bobbyfk out, but I took a few bottles from him enough to really irritate him. Final table came and the DUI's were flying. Things were even till the blinds got high and all ins were coming often. I got nice cards at the end and left everyone else passed out under the table. Lots of fun guys, look forward to next week.
Week 3 writeup (by Shoagie with assistance)
So the last table started while i was begging for a shot at tripp for the bounty, didnt happen as Rammy took'm out quicker than he orders sandwiches. I went from first to last sucking out back to the top over and over. Thats about all the final table was. Rammy got knocked out in 3rd with AJ falling to A7 all-in preflop. Shoagie did come down from 2:1 while head to head to win the weekly title for the 2nd time in 3 weeks. I dub my win tonight "Shoagie's glory hole." Well that gas station bathroom was knocked down and i finally won with the better hand for the first time to end the tourney. I guess im now labeled the suckout king. Good luck next week!
Week 2 writeup (by plite)
My first write up, but hopefully not my last. Before I get rolling I must admit I didnt realize the weekly winner gets to write the weekly summary until this morning. As this was the case I was not paying any attention to any of the events on table 2, heck I was barely paying attention to my own table.
Here goes. It seems to have been a short tourney lasting just over 2.5 hrs. I limped into a hand early and was the fortunate recipient of a flush, which put me in everyones good graces except for Shoagie, who was the less than entertained. Shoagie grinds teeth. A few hands later I was dealt AA and found one taker for a nice chip lead. Some chips changed hands for a bit then the first bounty was paid as Shoagie goes down with pocket 4s.
I think I spaced out for a while after that. I remember holding a crying baby and wishing I had a beer in the fridge, then the next thing I know we are at the final table and down to 5. Tripp and A10 are looking good and gbn took the second bounty by catching a 10 on the river to get trips and upsetting Rammys KK.
From then on out PS loved me. Full boat, full boat, we all go home.. Not exactly how it happened by close enough for government work
Week 1 writeup (by Shoagie)
Well here it is, my first write up! I slowly worked my way up for the first half an hour or so and doubled up and then collected my first bounty off of peach. Final table happened before the first break. Things really slowed down with four left. CCJ bubbled out and it left Me, Arj, and Rammy. First hand in to the cash my 77 caught Rammy's KK and i was hurting. From this point on all three of use just kept shuffling chips around. Eventually I took down Arj to collect my second bounty of the night. With it down to me and Rammy, we both went all in at least 10 times with no progress being made. I decided that we should split and Pokerstars decided to play some cruel april fools joke on us and still wouldnt let us end the night. Took about another 5 minutes of pushing for me to finally come out ahead with the meaningless win and the privilege to go to sleep. Good luck to everyone in the new quarter! (Rammy's note: we were on the final table before the first break but decided to split 340 hands in ... right before the 3rd break).

This spreadsheet uses the PokerStars TLB ranking formula. I've modified it to give points to every player that plays each week, not just the top 15%. That rewards participation more than average finish. It therefore encourages folks to show up every week and have a good time.
The formula used to determine the total points awarded to a player for any given tournament is:
Points = 10 * [sqrt(n)/sqrt(k)] * [1+log(b+0.25)]
Where:
n is the number of entrants
k is the place of finish (k=1 for the first-place finisher, and so on)
b is the buy-in amount in dollars (excluding PS administrative fee).
