2597 is 1900 PSI (pounds per square inch) of water pressure. The 2598 is 2000 PSI. Bigger is better for high pressure washing.

The difference is how much they lie to you. The lower model has a claimed 1900psi and the higher model has a claimed 2000psi. In reality, neither can make even 1500psi. They use the same components.

These models are especially garbage, but decent electric units will pressure wash a deck well if you don't mind it taking much longer than a gas washer.

exactly. while these are good for washing your car, they don't really do anything else well. plus, the GPM is very low, so it takes awhile... its really not any better than just a soap bucket with...
