Aren't 48v panels becoming more common? I got the impression they were a better choice for most residential applications since you didn't have to series them to get a better voltage

The charge controller is on the INPUT side... Based on your solar input. Nothing needed on your output side. Three of these would support 2000w output, but it might not work well for long duration...

You mean converter. And i use this one as well and like it. I didn't change the converter, so it won't charge fully from the 12v system. But I top it off with solar

What's the "standard" method for connecting these together? Bus bars? Manufacturer cables? Custom cables? I'm thinking of a parallel setup for 48v inverter. Like it mentions a 4p setup being...

See other post. A good hint is that this doesn't even have AC output. It's purely for running or recharging small electronics. And it will only charge them for a couple hours

Exactly. Sadly, they realized they don't HAVE to compete on my routes, so the higher prices can't send me elsewhere. No one else flies them.

Hard to get more than 1000w out of a single 12v battery in my experience. And lots of current. That terminal and cable would be too small. I would stick with an all in one setup.

You mean 3kwh? Yes, this battery holds about that. But you need an inverter to get the power into your car. And a lot of solar to keep up.

Check to see if 1200w is enough power for you, especially if you're running a motor with peak starting loads. The Jackery V2 will do 1500w and 1800/2400w with the Ecoflow Delta 2/3 Classic IIRC

Requires external 24v battery. You can get a similar unit with internal battery for not much more. Good if you already have a 24v battery though.

Good if your device only uses an AC adapter. Otherwise 100w PD would be a better solution for most people.

I think the point is that there are indeed portable panels with less waterproofing, that would only be put out temporarily. These would fall into middle area... More waterproof than other portables...
