You have to be using the Starbucks iMessage app, from within iMessage, not the standalone Starbucks app.

Click on the gc and it will say how to use click on that and it will give you options, I picked the one that add gc on the Starbucks app then transfer it to the card I use the most

It seems like I am not the only person with this issue. I also have the same issue where I can't see the barcode/code/pin of the GC i sent to myself in iMessage, it just shows order # and a picture...
