Are you sure that's possible with that drive? I'm not familiar with WD enclosures, but most external drives have proprietary connections and don't undergo the level of QC that internal drives do.

It has a throughput of 150MB/s on paper. It will easily saturate a gigabit link. If you step up to 10G even then you would need multiple SSD's in RAID or a NVME drive to saturate it.
