I successfully unlocked a GS7 active yesterday. I wasn't aware you could flash the ROM on the S7 Active. I was only able to update firmware OTA to Android 6.0 using GoPhone sim.

you might want to try to flash g935u, which is direct from samsung, instead of a carrier specific rom. I flashed vz s7edge with g935u & it did NOT trigger Knox and samsung pay is still working. ...
