If your gpu can pump out more than 75fps at this resolution in the games you play consistently (assuming you set the monitor to 75Hz) then you can just enable Vsync and won't have any frame tearing....

I agree the PPI is too low though people have argued with me about that. It's roughly the equivalent of a 1080p 27" monitor if you've ever used one of those.

Yeah there is nothing wrong with getting an nvidia gpu with this monitor, however it just makes more sense to pair it with an AMD gpu because then you can take advantage of freesync and save money on...

This is correct, I have the 29UM68-P model and that is the case as well. These monitors max out at 60hz without skipping with freesync disabled. Even 61hz causes skipping. With Freesync enabled...

I have a one similar size and it's perfect but don't go with a 1080 resolution go with a 1440 it scales better to the screen and you get a much better experience.
