One last thing I did was go on the tello website and entered the IMEI of the 2 iphones I bought and it said it was eligible to be on the network after activating one with a t-mobile sim and the other...

Small Crack on display, and just not as snappy as I'd like. Don't get me wrong, it's still very usable, though. I'd also like Band 12 for T-Mobile which my 6 Plus does not have.

You just need a compatible active SIM to activate it then you can use without SIM once it's active.

Lmao yes did you try it with a Cambodian sim. For those asking for the first one I just popped out my postpaid tmobile sim on my iP7 and put it into the SE then turned on the phone.
