Was going to go this route with cheaper Home Depot junction boxes but noticed that they don't have rear seal and dislike the fact that there are only 2 mounting points and that they are both on the...

Hi ctbear, They can. I had trouble stuffing the pigtail back into the wall - so I picked up a junction box PFA137 - there's still a chance water can get in with this - so you have to really be...

Hi Venix, There are good reasons why security camera systems traditionally have not included audio recordings. "If it’s on your private property, you can record." - this depends highly on the...

Hey again Matt Yes this is where my settings are also. I'm able to change to every resolution but when I select 4k it goes black and defaults back to 1080. I know it works as the nvr did this...

Thanks. Great video. So as you open the case, there is no way to add a 2nd HD for the Costco model?

OK I see. I wonder how a wireless alarm system would connect to this NVR though? I don't see an interface from the NVR, at least software wise?

Hi Breakbeat, According to a similar 8MP / 4K camera I expect you can run these cameras at the following resolutions: Resolution 4K(3840×2160)/6M(3072×2048)/5M(2560×1920)/...

HI Kevinmscs, That's a very good question, and one which I actually do not know much about. I've seen some talk about alarms at ipcamtalk, although it isn't really an alarm forum. The...

Hi Matt, At first I did - but it was updated to EST - so later on I manually set the time/zone again and turned of NTP. Still the clock went back to EST. So strange!

Thanks. The camera placement is definitely not ideal. I was tired at the end of the day so I didnt change it yet, but you're spot on, i will adjust it next weekend.

Hm - Lorex said 60 days return, so with better NVR and 3TB (Costco is 2TB) I think its a better deal. However, I did not know Costco one does not accept a 2nd HD? I thought it did?
