Especially with crappy interaction with certain devices (not remote's fault) when you press and hold it doesn't register the continuous press, it ends up skipping completely. I really don't like that...

I had a Harmony One. It's volume button broke. A common problem. They sent one of these as a replacement. Absolutely hate it. Always hitting the wrong buttons. Lot's of other little issues.

Yes hub only needed if u dont want to have line of sight, use from another room. Stash gear behind closed doors or remotely, etc
And need a hub for smart device control like lights etc
