Hi Jojan1, Thanks! That's even better! Yes, this deal has not expired .. the system some how marked it as expired, and seems like it does not give me the option to reset it.

Why not buy two of the Costco 4k camera deals. It would be $1600 for 12 cameras and then you can hide the NVR's in two different locations in your house.

"4k" =/= better. Resolution increases are meaningless with cheap optics and sensors.

thanks! fyi, deal now extended through 10/15/17 Question for all, whats the going rate for camera install fees? will need to run additional wires through the attic down to where the nvr will be.

NVR in OP uses 25W+HD at full load. What does your BI server use for 12 4K cameras + alerts? What does your BI server use for playback? Remember this is 24/7 and driving up cooling costs. Can...

Hi Kru5ty Ru5ty If the model numbers are different from the same brand I expect the NVR to be different even if it looks like the same case. Costco typically includes a spec sheet for both the...

Hi Jojan1, Additional cameras for this kit? As they are Dahua OEM cameras, other Dahua OEM cameras will work with this kit. You may need to adjust a few things - perhaps the port number,...

What NVR 25W+HD is too much :).. NVR is run under 10W+HD, and if you have a good NVR with run dual OS dual HD is 15W+HD. My AIO 19 inch touch Dell Celeron 4 years old only use max 18W :). Yes...

Can't understand the benefit of running a "hybrid" unless you're simply running 2 separate systems for redundancy.

Hi Tygger, In general not a bad idea, note if you need cameras similar to those in these kits it turns out to be cheaper to buy the kit sometimes ( example the Lorex 4k kit ) than even purchasing...

Hi 5thgen, I'm certain $2K wouldn't be too steep if it was new 2017 Camry. ;) I think most people would be better off with the 8 port NVR and 6x 4K camera kit at Costco for $800. When you...

Excellent advice Dtdfusion! Also remember to bench test both day and low light conditions as there is a filter lens in every decent camera which needs to flip on for IR operation. While the odds...
