You get to use wood chunks for propane vs chips for electric. Chunks gives you way more smoke
For propane, you can put charcoal and wood chunks in the pan and turn off the propane after is lit....

Hard to say - window smokes over and is useless in no time. There's a theoretical risk that the window seal will fail. But the window models have thicker doors that seal a tiny bit better.
