Agree!! The first thing I did with my Honor 8 was update the software to Android 7.0 and EMUI 5.0.0. And works perfect, the Ui is much better, ( i had an honor 5x). This phone is amazing.

I kept the old EMUI 4.1 I think. Wife upgraded to 5 and battery life went down. Haven't had it freeze ever, works great for me and my wife and I literally spend half our day on the darn thing....

Compared to the Moto G5 plus, this doesn't hold a candle. My honor kept freezing, had blutooth issues, etc. G5 is a way better phone IMHO.
