FYI: yours is a dual core vs the newer quad cores. I wouldn't really go for any dual core unless you really need the computer now.

That might be true, but you'll feel hobbled by 8gb. I use 12gb in my desktop and even that gets full or close to full occasionally. 16gb is the sweet spot right now.
