I'm on a Tmo MVNO and don't have that issue. I have wifi on while in my house, and it calls out fine. It switches to 3G while I'm on the call, but most phones do that (or switch to 4G).

Yes, $100+ tax and unlocking fee for the E4 plus is a bit too much. You can buy the Huawei Ascent XT for $59 at Walmart right now, if you need bigger screen. But $40 for the moto e4 is great...

Seems like decent deal as long as you never expect to need root. With the bootloader locked down tight by both verizon AND moto (moto did the same thing with the moto e series both verizon and not)...

Beside a missing band for t-mobile it works fine for all GSM networks. Most are using it for GSM. For Verizon only postpaid works.

Since there's no root for this phone, as the bootloader is locked theres no way for me to run an app like Network signal guru that verifies the band 100% but I am in a band 12 area and many times...
