Post #106344316 added 10-28-2017 6:34 AM by monroeton in Deal Talk
Has anyone tried it on LEGO related stuff, such as minifigures, squares, clocks, etc. as it notes it excludes “LEGO construction sets” instead of simply LEGO?

If you're buying toys then the only ones excluded are Legos. Other than that it is the electronics that are excluded. I never go to Toys R Us for electronics, that's what Amazon, Wal-Mart and Target...

Huh? Are you trying to say I'm a scalper based on that quote? I'm not quite sure how you arrived at that from that statement about the brickseek numbers tending to be a bit off. Anyways, if that's...

This was a pain in the ass last year. I found better deals and wanted to return, but the gift card value was taken out of the return, essentially causing me to have a $25 gift that I had to use for...

Looks like Toys R Us is fully okay with not being around too much longer with all of these exclusions. Sad really...

Nope, won’t work. You’ll get adjusted return value for your returns which is a prorated portion of the gc.

That is my question too. Does the $25 "gift card" have a whole bunch of exclusions, like LEGO?

Mentioning Switch specifically was seemingly redundant as according to the fine print all video games and hardware are apparently excluded.

Yes, but bankruptcy doesn't mean they're going out of business. All it means is they've asked for protection against creditors and a restructuring of debt. They'll be around for the foreseeable...

Tsun e they are going bankrupt this seems to be a bit of a scam. Maybe hoping people don't cash it in before the music stops

That exclusion lists essentially anything I would ever care to purchase at toys r sucks.

I’m sure they will all stay open through Christmas - they already received some financing for that from what I understand. However, with restructuring under bankruptcy closing 25% of stores is...

Yes, which is probably why the promotional gift card expires before Christmas. After the holiday season, they will probably close a bunch of stores, if not worse depending on their holiday sales. I...

Its still the biggest toy money making time of the year regardless of going bankrupt. If they cant exceed their earnings during this bigges holiday season, whats the point of being in business?
