I did that the same and kept getting rejected. Any idea? We bought 4 phones and 2 got approved and 2 didn't and I used the same method submitting the receipts. This process is so frustrating!

You should be ok since it's equipment and that's separate from changing the plan itself. That plan change is language so you can't drop a paid line and replace it with the free line they give you.
