I have this meter at work. It is a big step up from the cheap multimeters so common on Amazon. This one also has a non-contact voltage detector in the top of the meter.

If all you care about is DC and perfect AC sine waves then RMS is of no compelling benefit. If you work with different waveforms then go with true RMS.
