Yon can select the motion detection sensitivity from Low, Mid and High. Ring has a monthly charge so it's a no brainer to choose skybell.

That's what I thought too, until I put in the 18V transformer. No more issue, so I think it requires 18V, unless the 10V can put out a lot more current.
