I'll second this comment below... I have a Comcast X1 DVR and while the picture is good on the 65 inch TCL it's not great, and that is not the TV's fault. Most of the broadcast channels are 720 still...

We have the 55". Not every time we turn it on, but we have had to reconnect multiple times. Not sure why, but we deal with it. Still a good tv.

I picked this tv for similar price at Costco a few weeks ago. I dunno if it’s all of this model but it had very bad backlight bleed. Rtings also showed bad bleed in their review on left and right...

Was certainly the case when comparing IPS to TN panels with monitors and older TVs, but recent models I've seen VA do better than IPS. Could be that most manufacturers prefer VA and LG entry level...

Thanks for the review and it's spot on imo. I believe most people will agree with you that the viewing angles are poor and that HDR is weak.

HDR requires higher brightness = usually needs more power. As for the retinas, YES, if the substance 2-8 inches behind retina is not dense enough.
