You do not need to buy anything. There is a transform , the little white one, in the box with the Ring Pro. All you need to do is to hook it to the wires to the chime.

None. It's a fixed lens camera with a very wide angle lens. I've had no problems seeing the entire person at the door, even when they are tall and close to the door.
