No problems with Citi but only use a CC. My problem is with Chase that it shows the posted date for CC transactions instead of the sale date. Been like this for years.

FYI, if you are reinstalling 2015 or 2016 from CDs you need to download the mondo update file. Both these versions were released before the transition out so the regular update that comes from the CD...

Yea I tried a few backups and they all did the same thing. I press the little one step update button and it does the hourglass and then doesn't do anything. I reinstalled 2018 and it worked...

Not if Intuit did it on purpose to harvest emails and force upgrades. Then it's fraud, and the rules change massively. But then, Intuit's general counsel should know that.

Folks, this is why I'm so glad I didn't use my quicken account that I normally use with my 2017 version. It would have screwed me out of updates for 2+ years by upgrading my account to a 2018 version...

I was having the same issue after going back to 2016 where it wouldn't update, but after installing the latest Mondo Update everything worked fine. Can download the update for 2016 here.

Ah happy to be back to GnuCash. Quicken looked too cluttered and I was uneasy about the future of it as well. For some reason I feel safer with GnuCash....perhaps because it doesn't mine my data?

Either ask customer support or email the president. I'd personally email the president if I were you because you can just send the email and walk away (instead of waiting ~20 minutes for chat/phone...
