I would be more worried about the online community than the game itself, it gets pretty toxic and racist at times.

I got this a long time ago. The co-op scenarios versus bots were fun but joining MP was... something. The multiplayer is filled with hardcore players who have been playing the game for a long time...

Just played for the first time. I would say it's more like America's Army rather than Counter Strike. It's much more fun than AA though.

Amazing game at full price! For those old school PS2/3 socom players, there is a great mod available that converts to third person view. Also, map packs with really good renditions of Socom maps.

I never really played PVP but have 200-300 hours in co-op vs AI. It's a checkpoint based waves of AI.. pretty fun and if you pick the right server it can be pretty challenging.

Its not really gory (blood splats when shot but that's about it) it's got some swearing when characters are under fire tho.

Its worth it for the co-op vs ai. Not as fun single player tho but you can co op with randoms and it's still fun

If you guys like this game I would recommend Day of Infamy, which was once a mod for insurgency but became a standalone game, which is basically insurgency in WW2.

The main thing is for the Multiplayer which is very difficult (you will die alot), but it can be played with bots but will get old fast.

Thanks, got a 4 pack to give away to friends. I have been playing it a couple weeks already and it's surprisingly good. My impression was that it's like a better / more realistic Counter Strike.
