You can only put an already active Tracfone Verizon SIM into this phone once unlocked. Am using TF VZ with this phone. To activate from scratch on TF VZ you need to pay the VZ prepaid ransom first.

Right, if they are able to lock you out of it, you probably won't be able to unlock it again. You'll have to use the phone on Verizon pre-paid or not at all.
