As long as you keep active the line getting the credit. Doesn't matter what you do with the phone after it's paid off.

Actually I believe they credit the down payment of $22 in monthly installments x 24 months, at least that is how the LG V30 does it for me it's like $3.34 x 24 months for the $80 down payment on 2nd...
