The newer formula Mobil 1 is different than the one made a year or so back. I forgot if its no longer LL-01 or what but I wouldnt put it in my m3 thats for sure. This Castrol stuff is what you want.

the W is measured with a completely different method than the 40. For example, 5W5, is not straight weight oil, the "5W" is a lot thicker at start vs the "5" at 100c.

0W-20, 5W-20, 10W-30 etc penzoil is $25 at Home Depot and Walmart. With $10 rebate, they are still cheaper than this price. Both are good oils though!
