You don’t have to wait. BH photos has the Swann 16 channel NVR with 8 x 5mp cameras for $850. The kit is made by Hikvision. The NVR supports H265 and 4K HDMI output. It’s a little more expensive but...

Thanks sam88. Can you clarify what you wrote "I received a 32 channel NVR with 16 built-in POE (Model #NVR16-8000)"? I checked the NVR16-8000 but it has only 16 channels.

The NVR I got does support 32 channel. The camera management page shows 32 cameras that can be configured. It pulls all the IP cameras on my network for channel 17 to 32. The screen can display up to...

That fan can be easily replaced with a Noctua NF-A4x20 ($15 on Amazon). It even comes with a 3-pin to 2-pin connector which is what you would need for the NVR. Pretty much makes the NVR silent. ...

HI Skywaytp, If you're looking to do this sooner: You may want to check and see what is available from Costco or consider assembling a custom kit via ordering from China. We did see some nice...

Thanks sam88, the system from BHphotovideo seems to have a non-POE NVR which provides no POE ports.

FYI - with a larger home you probably would be better off with a NVR which can handle more than 8 cameras.

I think the only way to know for sure would be at call LaView and ask what the NVR model number and see if that NVR truly supports 16 cameras. I don't have my kit yet so I am not 100% sure on that. ...

The ipcamtalk people seem to just be a holes about a lot of things. They want be experts but don't quite make the grade. They crap on anyone not having problems with Reolink cameras. A big gripe...

Hi Sali, With this NVR ideally stick with Hikvision OEM products. Thus the 1080p Annkie / Hikvision OEM cube camera ( wifi or wired ethernet ) is a good add to this kit. ( $50 from Annke...
