For most I would think this is a much better deal than the Dome unit. I bought the dome unit and installed in line with my soft water loop (which is inside, vs. my normal shut off which is outside)....

The sharkbite 3/4 male pipe adapter doesn't screw all the way into the valve, only half way in and it gets too tight. Won't it leak if it can only go in half way?
