How would dual S10EQ compare against a single PB1000 or Monolith 10? I'm guessing the single higher quality sub would be better due to the lower extension and overall output, but I could afford duals...

Damn you Slickdeals. I bit and bought the s10eq. I have been using my earthquake mini p8 sub for the last 7 years and it actually still works. This deal is too good to pass up.

Not sure what is going on with your sub, but my S10EQ auto-on engages just a couple of seconds after the audio comes on. There is no boom or other bad noise. Sounds like you have an issue somewhere....
