We've booked directly with Cathay and you can't pick seats beforehand. They specifically make you wait 24 hours before your flight. They say it's a TSA rule.

Seats are pre-assign for their ultra discounted fares. You also do not earn One World miles. Not sure about Asia miles. If you want a seat ahead of times, you are looking at the $900+ range...

That's not true. I booked for my mom last night and selected exit row for her. You can't select seat if your fare class is "Economy Save".

Yes rt. 31000×1.5= around $460 ticket. I used 93000 i got from last year csr sign up bonus to get 3 rt cx tickets i am very satisfied with this deal.
